[文法] (in) the previous evening?

這是單挑1000的單字第73 "previous" 的例句:

But it is known that Senator Kennedy gave a toast more poignant than the

one the previous evening.



我想請問的是, 為何previous evening前面不用加介係詞"in"呢?

一般不是都會講in the evening嗎?

推 noruas:in the evening 表示"在晚間"
→ noruas:使用的情況是像這樣: I go jogging in the evening.
→ noruas:(我傍晚去跑步. => 一種習慣性的行為)
→ noruas:如果是指"那一天晚上" "前一天晚上"這種特定的時間
→ noruas:就不能加in.  (that evening, the previous evening)
