(一)過去完成式：比某個過去的時間還早
例：We"had stayed" at a hotel in Miami "before" the hurricane hit southern
Florida last month. (在颱風來前，就已經待在hotel)
用before才能符合語意，如果用when語意變的很怪異
(二)過去進行式：在某件事情發生的時候，做了另一件事情
例：We "were staying"at a hotel in Miami "when" the hurricane hit southern
Florida last month.(在颱風來的期間，我們待在hotel)
