請問板上高手以下這句翻譯

"今天天氣不像昨天那樣熱"  "the weather today is not as hot as that of

yesterday"  想請教  that of 可刪掉嗎?? 而且怎會有一個of在那邊??

或是of可刪掉嗎 ??  因這樣翻議有點不平行 the weather today 對 the weather

yesterday不是嗎??  謝謝!!

→ oter:你會說weather yesterday 或 yesterday weather嗎?
→ oter:應該會用yesterday's weather or the weather of yesterday吧

推 detour:可是前面不是使用the weather today嗎?
→ oter:today指現今~ 若把of刪掉，讀起來就會感覺有兩個時態
→ oter:翻譯就會變成 昨天今天的天氣跟天氣一樣熱
→ oter:所以後面的昨天是名詞 才會是's whether or of yesterday
推 detour:as...as兩邊要平行 所以只要詞性相同 表達方式可以不用一
→ detour:囉? 前面改成the weather of today是否可行?
→ oter:可以阿，像today's weather 後面就是 yesterday's
→ oter:但是一般來說 不會用the weather of today 因為太長了
→ oter:所以都會用today's weather 就可以清楚表達了 不用繞口令
→ cerenis:你要比的是天氣，把OF刪掉就變成天氣比昨天，這樣是有對等
→ cerenis:嗎？比得東西都不一樣了，為了要嚷比較的東西都是天氣所以
→ cerenis:一定要加OF，THE WEATHER OF TODAY/YESTERDAY。
→ dexmanlau:today's weather is not as hot as yesterday's會部會比
