[文法] nobody but you

今天去上英文課,老師說到but的用法,表強調

可是他翻譯:

I want nobody but you. --> 我什麼都不要

讓我覺得很奇怪,還說了

Nobody but you 如果後面接動詞,應該要以Nobody為主,

也就是: Nobody but you is smart.

不是應該是but表強調看you來接動詞嗎?

Nobody but you are smart.

請問哪一個比較對? 謝謝
