: 答案為 B ，請問A為什麼不對?
如果看文法書，上面會有一句話。
"副詞子句以現在式代替未來式"
貼心一點的文法書還會提醒，
"以時間、條件之副詞子句較多"
這一題就是屬於"表條件之副詞子句須用現在式代替未來式"
所以答案是B
但說實在話，我不知道為什麼。(以學習及使用語言的角度來看似乎也無此必要)
我個人的理解方式是，
未來始終是無法100%確定會發生的吧，
例如 I will always love you...wuu hoo......
基本上都是對未來的一種"預定"及"可能"(儘管機率有高有低，但絕不是100%)
但!
當使用條件副詞子句時，以原po的問題為例
Unless economic conditions improve next year, there will be........
雖然經濟好轉也是未來(next year)的事，但unless 把這件事機率限定為100%
意即是在討論"除非經濟好轉的情況之下"，
在這種情況下如果說成
Unless economic conditions will improve next year,............
Unless 和 will 的意思便互相矛盾了!
: 2. You may give this prize to anyone ______ you think is the best.
: (A)whom (B)who (C)what (D)which
: 答案是B，請問 A、D為什麼不對?
這題主要問題在A、B (先行詞是anyone ，所以which不考慮)
答案是who而不是whom在於這裡是當主詞，
會混淆的地方是可能會認為 you think 後面接的是受詞 因此用whom
但 you think 在此只是一個插入語，不能做為判斷的依據。
還是要以後面的句子來判斷做為主詞還是受詞。
以這題為例，is the best 缺的是主詞，所以用who
因此 you think 在本句裡基本上是可以略過不看的，
這種題目也是考關代時常出現的陷阱。
: 3. We have these great meetings every week, ____ we exchange lesson plans
: and ideas on how certain things should be taught.
: (A)why (B)where
: (C)which (D)who
: 答案是B，請問C為什麼不對呢?
這題考的是關係副詞，
簡單說明，關副 = 介詞 + 關代
例如 where = in which (以本題的情況)
= in these meetings
所以C錯的原因在於，無法放入句子之中。
遇到關代相關的題目，要將關代還原以確認句意。
以這題為例
We have these great meetings every week, (and in these meetings) we exchange..
= (in which) we exchange..
= (where) we exchange..
