[請益] 代名詞指代和BE動詞意義

Signs on the skeletal remains of prehistoric figures, including arm-bone
size and injury marks, imply that these are the remains of right-handed people.

想請問these是指代什麼?

我自己解是指代第一個remains
但問人說居然remains跟signs都可以??
signs的話不會有redundancy以及邏輯主謂不通的問題嗎?
signs imply that signs are the remains.....
而且...指代還有可以指代到2個referent??
這是托福裡的文章，照理講這種文章代詞結合句意和文法只會抓出依個referent吧?
