我本身沒有這種問題 我不知道英文算不算是我的母語.
在這8例子中 不管是在independent clause或dependent clause中使用past simple
tense或past continuous tense 都是正確的.
而,是哪一個動作先完成或後完成,並不明確!
past simple 或past continuous 確實在文法上有不同意義及用法.
但, 在本文例子中, 這兩種時態常用於表相同的意義.
而不是用past simple就代表這動作完成了!
之前也有發表過文章,但後來變成求證是要經過啥usingenglish.com 的論壇驗證
才算正確, 每個人求證的管道有很多 可以請教學校教ESL的美籍老師或美籍教授.
也是一種管道.
我希望這次不會再變成這樣.
還有, "Tom cooked dinner while Mary cleaned the house."
在邏輯上不太通? 這我就不再多說啥了.

其實,我不具備理解英文需利用翻譯成中文的習慣.
"Catch you later" 在你看來會不會也邏輯不通? 或是 也存在邏輯不太通的可能?
因為明明就是 "等會兒抓你"
所以你會不會覺得"只要"有邏輯不通的可能,
就不能用Catch you later, 而要用 "Bye"
