不包括。從字義、邏輯上可以看出不包括。從文法上，如果 rather than 真的後接三項，
則那三項應該寫成 rather than A, B, or C。
這裡，method、apparatus、technique 三樣東西都很近似，算是同位語，一起做 which
的先行詞。
