淺見：我知道「written by Professor Smith」是省略動詞的形容詞子句，作修飾語。
所修飾的主詞應該是The forward這個形容詞（因為省略名詞），主動詞是state。
可是為何後面又接一個動詞is呢？難道state後面的the book是名詞子句中的主詞？
以上困惑之處，懇請文法高手解析。謝謝啊....
