[求譯] 踏出第一步 的動詞...?

今天在練習寫英文日記碰到了一點小瓶頸，希望大家能幫幫我>_<


     "踏出第一步"


如果我想翻譯上面那句，動詞應該使用哪個字呢?

我自己是寫成： Steps out the first step.

感覺好拗口，因為出現了二個step...


各位大大應該怎麼修改比較好呢?
