1. get by with out還是get by without?

   原文:
   在平常休閒只能去打球、騎腳踏車，盡量減少高消費娛樂，雖然小孩沒有太
   多最炫的電子產品，但除此之外，生活還過得去沒有太多問題。
   In their free time they take the children to play ball or ride bikes, and
   try to avoid expensive forms of entertainment. The children don’t have
   all the latest electronic gadgets but apart from that they are getting
   by with out too many problems.

   請問最後ㄧ句的” they are getting by with out too many problems.”的get by
   with out是不是拼錯了?應該是get by without對嗎?


2.請問古蹟的英文有多種講法，請問building status也適合嗎?


3. step up to the plate?
   原文:
   有些義工們已決定持續協助BARK的部分工作
   some volunteers have decided to step up to the plate already to keep some
   parts of BARK’s operation going.

   請問step up to the plate是固定片語的用法嗎?如果以中譯來看的話，推測是”
   持續做某事”的意思對嗎?
   但我不太了解plate的在這裡的用法….
   英英所查到的plate解釋:a schedule of matters to deal with，
   不曉得是不是這句裡頭step up to the plate的解釋?
