想請教各位關於couple這個字的單複數用法
就我的理解
couple 當一對夫妻解釋時,是視為單數
例如：The couple has gone to Taipei.
而當夫妻倆人解釋時，可以視為複數
例如：The couple are from different country.
那請問一句翻譯：這對夫妻喜歡辛辣的食物。
是該寫成 The couple like spicy food.

或者 The couple likes spicy food. 呢？

或者是都可以呢？
