關於這段英文

Much has already been written about what role China and Chinese interests
played in the election.
Much of this was behind the scenes, but for Taiwanese voters it was
nevertheless a real factor, inhibiting them from making a fully free choice.

我分析這邊的role this it 三者是指同樣的東西(應該沒錯吧?)

想請問大家

這邊的 much of ... 可以改寫成 many of ... 嗎?
因為我覺得這邊this 是可數名詞

推 asdsasd123:即使是可數名詞 如果不是複數型的  都會用much of
→ asdsasd123:只有可數名詞+s才會用many of
