這屬於「讓步」語意的句型，即「雖然……但是……」(Although ..., ...) 的句型。
原句是 Although you may be thriving, we will take you down.
連接詞 as 意思眾多，可用在讓步語句，和 although/though 同義，其後接的「讓步
元素」必須提前，前面甚至可再加另一個 as，所以原句改用 as 之後變成：
(As) thriving as you may be, we will take you down.
一個常見的片語 Be that as it may, ... （雖然如此，……) 也是這麼來的，
因為 as 而把 although it may be that 的 be that 提前。
