[單字] spend for?

一般似乎都是說 spend on
I spent four hundred dollars on the new bike.
上句的 on 的說法是不可改成 for

但是我在字典上看到 spend for 的用法 例如

中的例句

所以 spend for 也可以嗎? 上述例句可改成 for?
