[文法] It didn't matter

我查到It doesn't matter 是沒關係;無所謂的意思

但"It didn't matter how many times you reminded him to do something,
   he would always forgot"

句子開頭的It didn't matter 在裡面是當做甚麼意思呢?

有無論怎樣或無論如何的意思嗎?

因為翻成沒關係或無所謂整句就怪怪的

整句是翻成 "無論你提醒他幾次去做某事,他總會忘記" 對嗎?
