[請益] maybe、may be

[unfaith (諸神的黃昏)]

Alex：William said he would come , but so far he
      hasn't shown up.

Ben ：I saw him in the hospital early this morning
      . He may be sick.


請問大大，為什麼不能把「may be」換成「maybe」？

推 monkeywife:既然詞性不同 放在句子的位置當然也不同啦
→ monkeywife:例如 Maybe she is sick.  She may be sick.
