我的文法見解跟版友推文不太一樣

版友一定知道"this morning/afternoon/evening"可以當時間副詞直接使用

例句：We were there THIS MORNING.

原句 We were there the whole morning.
這裡的"the whole morning" 其實跟"this morning"在文法道理上是一樣
已經直言了就是 這整個早上/這個早上 (the whole morning/this morning)
只是"the whole morning" 的語氣比"this morning"強調時間長度
在這個狀況底下 可以直接構成時間的副詞片語

至於原PO另外提到一句 we eat breakfast in the morning.
這句比較像是在講一個常態習慣（我們在早晨吃早餐）
所以當然是用指稱平日早晨的"in the morning"


可以想想以下三個句子，文法都正確，但語意各有差異：

We have breakfast in the morning. （我們早上吃早餐）

We had breakfast this morning.（我們這個早上有吃早餐）

We had breakfast the whole morning.（我們這整個早上都在吃早餐）

推 DarkD:其實, 從我經驗來看, 國中生的文法薄弱超乎想像
推 Ginger11:要求他們唸到習慣即可
→ Ginger11:要國中生"瞭解"文法，我覺得很難，倒不如讓他們培養習慣
→ Ginger11:及語感即可
