補述顧名思義就是補充敘述 所敘述的內容對整句的"文法結構"來說
既使去掉 也不會造成影響或錯誤
通常只會用"一個"逗號來連接對應的補述句
格式如下 S+V,補語
[通常很容易跟複雜句混淆 格式如右 S+V, 連接詞+S+V ]

第一題你用了兩個逗號 所以步行 只能把後面at the party往前挪
使用捕述用法檢查法:去掉補述句會變成
there were a lot of people, at the party. 造成多一個逗號[贅詞]
如果用兩個逗號會容易讓人誤會成同位語
EX: A man, standing over there, is my father.

依照正確答案去掉捕述句的話
there were a lot of people at the party. 文法格式正確 故是正解


: 2. the people applied for the job (none of these people were suitable )
: 我的答案
: the people, none of whom were suitable, applied for the job.
: 正確答案
: the people applied for the job, none of whom were suitable
: 請問我的答案哪裡錯了 不可以嗎?? 非常感謝!!
因為你有兩個逗號 會讓人誤會成同位語
the people=none of whom were suitable , applied for the job.
檢查去掉捕述句 會不會造成文法錯誤呢?
會!因為 the people, applied for the job. 是錯誤的 句子中間多餘逗號
正確應該是 the people applied for the job. 才不會有文法上的問題

3. The people, none of whom were suitable, applied for the job.
4. The people applied for the job, none of whom were suitable.
以上兩句中文都一樣 文法也都沒錯 差只差在書寫法 (或說文法不同)
3.是以同位語的方式書寫
4.是使用捕述用法
兩者都對 但是如果限定要使用捕述 則只能寫4.
如果題目說 限定使用同位語方式改寫 正確就是3囉

→ DarkD:不同非是文法考量，而該是為了諸如當句子複雜不會讓其修飾到
→ DarkD:其他受修飾字而產生歧義/或避免同種腳輕之類的問題。至於不
→ DarkD:會產生歧意或理解困難的句子則沒講究位置，差別可能是寫作風
