請問這題假設語氣

If he _____ find out your past, what will you do?
(A) should
(B) were to
(C) might
(D) would


考量到(A)語意不符、(B)were to表示未來不可能發生

我的答案選的是D

可是我還是有點疑慮
如果這題表示現在可能找到你的過去
為什麼不直接用If he finds out your past就好
而要再加上一個would呢?
