[文法] Conditional Sentences Type Exceptions

想請問一個問題﹔

下面的倒數第三題的題目:

We would take another route if they (close / not)____  the road.

文中給的答案是had not closed。

它的解釋是：Action in the past that has an influence on the present.

我可以理解它的解釋。

我的問題是，如果填入didn't close是否也可行？

main-clause => We would take another route => 現在(或將要)

if-clause  => if they didn't close the road => 過去

(如果(過去)他們沒有... ,那麼現在我們...) 感覺還滿符合語意的

請教大家

→ l10nel:答案是不行，原因在題目已給定的字would。若要表達你想說的
→ l10nel:直述語氣，would必須改成will。直述語氣時，從句和主句都要
→ l10nel:用直述的時態，而would可說是虛擬語氣的標記（當然would有
→ l10nel:其他用法，但都不符你要表達的直述語氣）。
