在第一個句子裡，第一個"as"就是副詞，但第二個不是介詞，而是“從句詞”(complementizer)，
跟"that"、"which"、"like"等詞類一樣。

1.) This is not as easy as you think [[that] this is easy].
1.1.) This is not as easy.
1.11.) This is not easy.
1.2.) You think [that] this is so easy.
1.21.) You think x.
1.22.) This is so easy.
1.221.) This is easy.

每個從句詞需要一個句子當它的從句。

這個句子有兩個從句例子：(1.)及(1.2.)。

您的第二個句子不清楚，可是還合文法，因為我們可以翻譯
那個句子的第二個"as"在當介詞。

2.) This is not as easy as what you think. (?)
2.1.) This is not as easy as the thing that you think.
2.11.) This is not as easy as the thing.
2.111.) This is not as easy.
2.1111.) This is not easy.
2.12.) You think the thing.

不過看句子裡的第二個"as"為從句詞（我建議您們把它那樣看懂），
則幫您看見二號句子怎麼不合理。

2.) This is not as easy as what you think [is easy]. (?)
2.1.) This is not as easy as the thing that you think [is easy].
2.11.) This is not as easy as the thing.
...
2.12.) The thing that you think is easy. （什麼事情？）
2.121.) The thing is easy.
2.122.) You think the thing.

因為我們不知道"the thing"是什麼，而沒有足夠的上下文能告訴我們"this"和
"the thing"相比。

3.) This is not as easy as pie [is easy].
