[文法] 過去完成進行式，文法請益

Hi 大家好～
最近正在修讀文法書，
做練習時遇到了問題，


題目是這樣的:
Put the verb into the most suitable form, past continuous,
psat perfect or past perfect continuous.

I was sad when I sold my car. ____________(I/have) it for a very long time.




空格內我寫得是 I had been having
答案是 I had had


我的想法是擁有一輛車子是一段時間，且持續的事情..
所以才會想要使用過去完成進行....
是我搞錯了什麼嗎...? 哈哈哈....
