: The Invisifence process was smooth, quick, and surprisingly affordable --
: much cheaper than putting a real fence around my yard would have been.
1.) The Invisifence process was smooth, quick, and surprisingly affordable --
much cheaper than putting a real fence around my yard would have been
[cheap].
1.1.) The Invisifence process was smooth, quick, and surprisingly affordable.
...
1.2.) The Invisifence process was much cheaper than putting a real fence
around my yard would have been [cheap].
1.21.) The Invisifence process was much cheaper.
...
1.22.) Putting a real fence around my yard would have been less cheap.
1.221.) x would have been less cheap.
...
1.222.) y puts a real fence around my yard.
"The sun is hot."
"The sun not be hot."* (不可脫離中寫這個句子,可是可以放在指示的句子,例如:
"When people think about going into space, they might suspect
that the sun not be hot.")
[tense,] subjunctive [mood])。
"The sun were not hot."*
If the sun is hot, then Venus is hotter than Earth is [hot]."
If the sun were not hot, then Venus would not be hotter than
Earth would be [hot]."
增加perfect mood("完美語氣?"):
If the sun has been hot since 1965, then Venus has been
hotter than Earth has been [hot] since then.
If the sun had not been hot since 1965, then Venus
would not have been hotter than Earth had been [hot] since then.
