I need help to translate below to Chinese..
        "Food additive" means nay substance the intended use of wich
        results or may reasonably be expected to result, directly or
        indirectly, in its becoming a component or other wise affecting
        the characteristics of any food.

I can understand what it means, but it's hard for me to write smooth
sentence.
