最近在看英文句子時 看到一小段話

有點不太理解 希望各位可以幫忙解答

Paul visited the local bars more frequently than was decent

for a senior lecturer

這句話的意思是理解的

但對於than was decent 這樣的用法與解釋 不是很懂

希望有高手可以解釋解釋
