[求譯] "增加"

想請問如果例如某某人數從一百萬增加到兩百萬，之間「增加了一百萬」要怎麼講。

腦子忽然卡住了，只想得出名詞的用法：

There is a one million increase on the users of...（？）

在思考如果用動詞應該要怎麼用，increase by好像是用在比例上嗎？

所以不能講The number of the users of ... increases by one million這樣？

應該不能直接講the users of XXX increase one million吧？

稍微查了一下可是這種增加多少的用法有點讓我查得迷糊了，請板上先進幫忙解答orz
