標題[考題] 2個句子釋疑

大家好
在下對於最近練習的題目中，有兩個句子不太了解意思，
想請教大家是否可以解釋這兩句的意思，
還請大家不吝指教，謝謝。
1. For men who cycled through expensive divorces, marriage, more than dating,
fills old traditions of respectability, status, and comfort.
試譯:
男人們循環經歷昂貴的離婚，婚姻，更多約會(more than？)，滿足可敬的傳統(fills
的主詞就是men嗎？如果是為什麼是fills？)，地位(不知這裡該作何解？)，及安逸。
2. Perhaps the most important reason that large companies are willing to
gamble on buying technology is that not doing so carries risk, too.
試譯:
或許大公司願意在購買科技上孤注一擲最重要的理由是即使不這麼做，
一樣帶有風險。
問題:not doing so carries risk, too前面是doing，後面是carries，
這樣用的原因是什麼？doing so和carries之間不需要加逗號嗎？
不好意思麻煩大家釋疑了<(_ _)>
