[文法] 不定詞 句子重組

今天上課遇到的題目，同事跟我對答案的看法不一樣，所以想來請教各位前輩。

題目如下：

of / him / tell / kind / to / my / embarrassing / not / anyone / story / .

It was ___________________________________.

我的答案：It was kind of him to not tell anyone my embarrassing story.

同事的答案：It was kind of him not to tell anyone my embarrassing story.

我認為用 not to 像是用在request的時候。我也不知道要怎麼解釋，總覺得假如句子是

reported speech 就可以用 not to 但是在這裡不適用。

還有一個同事覺得兩者皆可。

想請問一下各位前輩到底是我對還是同事對還是就是兩者皆可？

另外，假如只有一個答案對，可否順便解釋一下文法讓我明白。謝謝！
