小弟不才，提出個人淺見，還請板上高人指點：）
如果用例子來說明也許能解釋
e.g. I have no idea what I can do.= what to do.
這句間接問句中明顯有主詞 I,所以what就不是主詞而是及物動詞 do的受詞
what is the matter, what's going on, what happen等句子中的what為主詞的原因
應該是動詞 is, happen皆為不及物動詞, 所以what不當受詞,而是主詞
補充: who, what, which為可做主詞和動詞的疑問詞,故
I have no idea how I can do. 是錯的
應為 how I can do it.=how to do it.
因為how 不能當及物動詞do的受詞,所以要補上受詞.
