[請益] 國中模擬會考試題

今天考的題目，請教大家:
There were (     ) thousands of ponds in Taoyuan.(A)some (B)more than
另外兩個答案不重要，正確答案尚未公布，
我猜答案應該是B，但句子的文意還是很怪，只說數以千計，也可能到幾十萬，要怎麼more than?而且google後也發現有人用some thousands of的用法，大家覺得呢？

→ priv:在英文裡面如果用到 dummy subject 通常是有目的
→ priv:否則用直述句就好，所以 A 和 B 兩個答案選一個的話

→ gtcb:ousands of的出現比例,結果是17:0,又上Yahoo Answers請外國
→ gtcb:網友回答,目前是4:1,所以你說的more than 明顯比較好,從數據
→ gtcb:上看,似乎並不那麼明顯有比較好。
