媽媽要我幫jacky做春捲

一個句子不是只能有一個動詞, 怎麼可以有asked又有make?

看起來也沒有使用關係代名詞 不太懂



2. I can't stand the smell of stinky tofu any more.

我不能在站在這聞臭豆腐的味道

一樣, stand和smell同時出現, 這去是把smell of stinky tofu當名詞？

可是這樣就覺得怪怪的, 語意上smell好像是動詞



3. Many people think of the seventh grader as a genius.

許多人認為七年級生是聰明人

這個as 不太懂用法



4. Small cells are low-power access points that support fewer users compared to
macrocells.

和大細胞相比, 小細胞是提供較少使用者的低功率存取點


這邊 support和compared都是動詞？

看起來 compared是當形容詞？ 可是後面有個to



小弟文法不太好

多益400出頭

另外想問  我在查詢 compare to/ compare with用法時

裡面有說 compare當Vi時 只能用compare with 不能使用compare to

我的理解是  Vi後面不用接受詞, Vt一定要接受詞

他的舉例

當Vt時： The results are then compared to/with the results of previous studies.

當Vi時： It's a good university, but its architecture doesn't compare with
         that of the older institutions.

可是我怎麼覺得兩個都是當Vt?

都是拿A跟B比



另外 that of, are then是啥用法？

→ tom91002:物，沒錯。第一句是被動用法，因此你可能會有點搞混。
→ tom91002:簡單來說，當作及物動詞時：主詞 compare A to B
可是第二句如果把後面受詞拿掉, 語意就不完整?

→ tom91002:that of的that指的是architecture，因為前面有過這個單字
→ tom91002:，所以改用that代名詞，避免單字一再重複出現。
→ tom91002:then在這裡應該是然後、就的意思，承接語意的副詞。
→ tom91002:第二句把with後面的受詞拿掉當然會語意不完整啊，因為是
→ tom91002:兩個東西在比較，拿掉了讀者怎麼知道要跟什麼比。
