[文法] as if

[ambrosio (...)]

"Everything will be all right," she whispered, as if _____ to
convinced herself of something.

A) she tried  B) trying  C)tried  D) to try

答案是B，請問A可以選嗎?

因為時態是過去式，所以 she tried
表示她真的有這麼做，這樣想可以嗎?
還是要改成 she had tried才可以，謝謝。
