跟你說明一下嘿：

the way (n)像...的樣子 (adv)以...的方式

用法特別在於：the way +子句 => the way +S+V

ex: Just the way you are. 就像你這樣的樣子。

其實是 Just the way　＋ you are the way ＝ Just the way you are!

所以這題會選 the way。

中文：只有像我這麼聰明的男孩可以"以它該被完成的方式"接下這個工作。

至於

關係副詞 有四種：where、why、when、how

用哪一種決定於介系詞後加的先行詞為何!

介詞    + 先行詞  關係副詞

in      +  地方 =  where
at      +  時間 =  when
for     +  理由 =  why
in      +  方式 =  how

跟這題有關的就是how

ex: Do you know the way how they made it? 你知道"他們成功的"方式嗎？
                        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                      = in which they made it
                      = in the way they made it

這裡的 in 當然不能省略，就是因為 in+which 才能用 how 帶出形容詞子句。

另外要說明的：

how 不只是用在名詞子句、名詞片語，當然也有形容詞子句的時候！
