[請益] 有關Julian Simon和Paul Ehrlich的賭局

愧為研究生，英文程度普普，稍早在看文獻時，
出現這麼一段話：

"Julian Simon was a libertarian economist frustrated by
the failure of the public to hold Malthusians such as
Ehrilich accountable for the poor track record of
their predictions."

這段話不是說Julian Simon從賭局中失敗了嗎？在google看到並非如此，
請問是否是我會錯意，該如何解釋？謝謝

背景：Julian是經濟學家，Ehrilich則是知名生物學者，
     兩位在1980年公開打賭，賭五項金屬價格是漲是跌。
     最後，抱持Malthusians理論的生物學家輸了，
     這是一場有關資源稀缺性的賭局。
