這是我打算詢問的內容，請問有更禮貌的寫法嗎？ 謝謝!

Dear Professor XXX,
I am an admitted student in the PhD program for
the coming fall semester.  I applied for the scholarship
and am placed on the waiting list.  I understand that
the offer letter stating the decision will be made by the
end of April.  Since your program is my first priority and
ideally meet my research interests, I would appreciate if
you could let me know my possibility of obtaining the
scholarship or my rank on the waiting list. That would be
very helpful for me to make a final decision.
