另，would有假設語氣，若要指相對於過去某一點時間的未來應寫作：
that the press conference was going to be held on (the following) Thursday.
: Mr.Benson said that the maid never___to clean his quarters the whole time
: he stayed at the hotel.(a)comes (b)came 答案是B
: 從來沒有去打掃他的房間 表習慣不是該用現在式嗎?
語意的時態只表示在Mr. Benson “所停留的那一段時間”沒有去打掃而已。
所以不是常態。
