[求譯] 請問stimulus在這句中是什麼意思?

  The capturing tool, named classrec, carries out the capturing process.

  stimulus的意思是刺激的意思，所以

  我翻成：該課程管理器負責處理講師的"刺激"，並控制其它的classrec instance
  , 使他們保持同步。

  可是"刺激"的意思放在這邊不通啊，有沒有更好的翻譯啊?謝謝。
