but i think to take toefl is not....
well, toefl is really expensive
i don't know why they increased the test fee last year
it is said that in 2005, when ETS adds oral test to TOEFL, the test fee
will become more expensive
to be honest, that really upsets me....
if u just want to kill time....i will suggest u to take GEPT
the reasons are
1. cheaper.....much much cheaper
2. the quality of GEPT, acoording to my friends, is not bad
3. GEPT offers u an oral test, which is not included in TOEFL
i think if u take a test with oral test cuz that would make u try hard
to improve ur speaking ability :P and also help urself know how ur
speaking ability is

when i took toefl last year for academic purpose, i didn't go to cram school
i think if u can persist in studying every day, then u don't have to go there
take my classmate for example, she went to cram school and did the practice
tests diligently, but she failed to meet the qualification of what the
graduate school requires...
so to go to cram school is not alwayas an elixir
