I've heard of both good and bad romances online. A friend of
mine met her boyfriend on the internet and were very happy
together. Personally, I'm willing to give it a shot, but
nevertheless, I don't fully believe their words. To practice
my written English, I've made tons of penpals on the internet
since I was 17. Guess what? I've made penpals to a 60 year-old
American man. Very old, huh? I don't think it matters, anyway.
We all knew our purposes; I wanted to practice English and
he wanted to know another part of the world.
As a rule of thumb, never get involved and expect too much, if
you want to try it.
