※ 引述《obiter (加油)》之銘言:
: I'm just bored out of my mind right now...
: I think studying can really drive a person crazy... Not literally of course,
: but just getting really frustrated and bored ~_~
: Had a discussion yesterday about the differences between studying and working.
: Assuming that you are an excellent and diligent student studying a
: rather difficult course, and a person working in a demanding job that has long
: hours.
: Which is better?
: Would you rather be the hard-working student,
: or the hard-working employee?
: Of course, people always say that being a student is the best time of your
: life. But then, with the assumptions above, you know, almost subconsciously,
: that there will always been something to do, some textbook to read, some
: extra notes to tidy up. In other words, the potential studying that you could
: do is almost limitless.
: Funny thing is, just about all students understand the concept of dimilishing
: returns when it comes to studying. The more you study, the less extra benefit
I am not disagreeing on your words,
but...if you mentioned diminishing returns
you remind me of something like economies of scale and scope~
maybe the more you learn or think , the easier you do.
maybe the broader knowledge you have, the better your study or work..
I also frequently think some learning is too redundant..
and learning selectively something relevant is what i'm trying
however...what's relevant...? Ihave no choice but to judge by myself.
as for work, I just can hope what I do is good for it...
