標題[Ask ] I need you on-board in next month.

I am looking for a job now.
I had an interview in few days ago, then I sent a mail to the manager to
show my thanks and willing to enter the company.
Because I can't be on-board right now, the manager tell me he can't wait for
long time and "I need you on-board in next month."
I just know his meaning, but what does the word "need" mean?
Just a word and I don't need to think too much, or the manager want to express
his feeling in a strong way.
*Thanks for everyone trying to show your feeings in advance. ^^
