Sometimes it's realy important to appreciate what we have. Strangely enough,
most don't really think about what they have until they lose it. My aim had
always been to appreciate what I do have - religious people might call it:
count your blessings. You don't notice something when you have it already,
but you will miss it once you lose it. Best example is: who thinks about the
air that they breath in? But surely we all know what will happen if you lose
that air, right?
I guess it's always a human weakness to want more than what we have. But what
happens if you have that "more"? You'll just want even more. And then say
if you get exactly what you want still? Well, chances are, at the end, when
you have all that you can possibly have, you'll get sick of what you have,
and probably want something new...
It's quite sad really. At the end of the day, it's all a matter of how you
compare yourself, and who you compare yourself to. Maybe if you compare with
Person A, you have very little. But what if you compare to Person B, or
Person C? You probably have much more than they have.
Or better yet, just don't compare with anyone. Be happy with what you have.
Easier said than done, as always :)
