I've read a news article about Barbara Bush, a former first lady of the United States, who underwent a surgery to fix her perforated duodenum ulcer. It's suspected that the anti-inflammatory drug could cause this-- uncommon but not unheard of. Why is that? What is the likely mechanism of it? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 114.44.147.31

Bigfatty73:It reduces both COX1 and COX2 in the body ^drugs 11/27 23:56
Bigfatty73:If you need Pain relief, you only need to stop COX2 11/27 23:57
Bigfatty73:Instead, COX1 is affected as well, causing stomach- 11/27 23:58
