It was a scorching-hot summer. At a stop stood a girl in a piece of
dress waiting for a train to come. Her boy friend just walked out on
her; she was all sad and stood absent-minded.
A few minutes later, from the distance came the train painted blue
and decorated with flesh-pink fins, heading for a theme park thronged with
myriads of cute, cartoon-like animals.
The girl moved forward, stepped up, and took a seat. Along the
rail she saw numerous adorable animals greeting her all the more cheerfully;
she was beside herself with joy and all tears.
Before long, it struck her that she seemed to have stood before
the rail hours ago. When she came back to herself, the hopping animals had
gone, the night screen hung down, and a gate engraved with crisscross sickles
waiting for her.
