All alone in the dark of night
This cold has frozen my mind
My studies have numbed my heart
Have I inhaled these anesthetics?
My mind races to memorize
These last few hours are crucial
Yet that bed of mine
Is calling out to me
I will wait and see
The results of these finals
My grades dropping
Dropping like the temperature
But they say
The night is darkest just before the dawn
I've seen every dawn this past week
And it truly is dark.....................
