So I ran out of jokes today and am too lazy to look up for more on the Internet
at the moment. But I thought of something fun to discuss with you peeps.
Have you ever had a fortune cookie?
Personally, I hate fortune cookies... just from eating so much of them when I
lived in the US. But I had the habit of cracking them open and read the
messages inside even though I don't eat the cookies. I had a collection of
fortunes but then I trashed them when I moved.
The thing I love about fortune cookie is the element of surprise, and that
you will never know when you will be enlightened by the words of wisdom on
the fortune... though most of the time it is full of crap. XD
Accompanied by the chinese "word of the day" on the back side, the message
makes for the best humor (sometimes not so appropriate) on the dinner table.
Once I had a fortune that reads:
"Better to aim at the moon than to shoot into the well."
and the back reads:
香蕉 Banana
Xiang-jiao
Lucky No. 9,15,27,...
I swear to God it's so not funny when you have food stuffed up to your throat..
So, what are some of the intriguing fortunes that you have come across?
