Well, when you feel unsuitable and uncomfortable what is
the voice in your heart? Yes, that is " NO".
Because you are conscious of the persuation from the guy.
Dont care much about whether you think to much.
And you mentioned that the man was totally not your type, so
next time when he invite you a cup of coffee all you have to
do is refused it. It wont be any harmful. Others would be hurt
only when you make them think they get opportunites and actually not.
So i dont know your attitute absolutely, maybe you should ask youself,too...
Just listen to your heart, say No when you dont want it. And if you reject
at the begining, things will get complicate no more.
