Fiz, things are and will always be the way how you perceieve it to be.
Yes, life is no more than a chain of events, seemingly meaninglessly linked
together, and yes, memories that bring meaning to this mess fades, no matter
how much effort is made to preserve it.

So what?  bringing this stuff six feet under doesn't make a better corpse
or even a conscious one. Life's a playground, you get what you want, do what
you please, have fun and leave. So God can't save your existence, who cares?
for you existed.

(okay, I'm not trying to convince you into conning or anything anti-social,
I just wish you would go easier on yourself.)
