though Canada has many Asian immigrants, but it seems the majority of people here in Taiwan know little about the university there. McGill is prestigious but it's like nobody knows about it until they look up online for the city of Montreal. But Toronto, in the contrary, is something that most people heard of. maybe or maybe not, it makes University of Toronto a more famous school in Taiwan. and a similar situation is common when you mention the university in Europe, like the ETH(capital of "Federal Institute of Technology Zurich" in German), which is probably the best school in Europe other than those in UK. Anyone want to dissect the reasons for this situation? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.212.99
